The Ministry of Employment and the Economy has established a two-year Development Strategy for the Creative Economy. The purpose of the project is to develop the operating environment of the creative enterprises, evolve new product development and financing models, and to improve the effective use of creative work and expertise in the labour market. Also the project produces research and visionary information on the creative economy to forecast the occurring changes in the market.
The development strategy for the Creative Economy is to run from October 2008 to 30 September 2011. It is also closely linked to the Ministry’s Strategy for Entrepreneurship in the Creative Industries Sector for 2015.
Petra Tarjanne is the head of the strategic development project. The specialists appointed for the four target areas have also gathered their own multidisciplinary working groups to support their work. The working group for work related issues, led by Leading Expert Riitta Ylätalo, is placed to SME Foundation.
